RESUMO

Este artigo visa analisar as complexas interações mnemônicas no Japão dos séculos XIX e XX. Para tanto, vale-se de uma profunda retrospectiva histórica, remontando o período ¨bakufu¨ japonês e a estruturação de hábitos essencialmente agrários. Em paralelo a essa análise também será retomada a Era Meiji em seus diversos desdobramentos. Serão analisados os motivos do abandono da cultura bakufu bem como sua (re)significação durante sua transição para o Japão moderno. Diligencia-se, portanto, uma reflexão aprofundada acerca do papel da memória na construção da cultura japonesa contemporânea.

ABSTRACT

This article aims to analyze the complex mnemonic interactions in Japan in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Therefore, it is a profound historical retrospective dating the Japanese period “Bakufu” and the structuring of habits essentially agrarian. In parallel to this analysis, the Meiji Era will also be taken back in its various developments. It will be analyzed the reasons for the abandonment of “Bakufu” culture and its (re) signification during its transition to modern Japan. Thus, it diligences a complex reflection on the role of the memory in the construction of the Japanese contemporary culture.
